What's different in 2026 is where the new energy is pointing. The openings landing between May and August are not spread evenly across the city. They are stacking, almost defiantly, inside a six-block downtown radius, and the civic calendar is following them there.
That's the shift worth watching. Downtown Alpharetta spent the last decade sharing top billing with Avalon and Halcyon. This summer, City Center and Canton Street are pulling the interesting new operators back toward the middle of the map.
